Природата понекогаш навистина знае како да изненади и да „сруши“ сè во што верувавме. Водата гасне пожари, нели? Барем така требаше, така нè научија, освен кога станува збор за „Eternal Flame Falls“, или „Бескраен оган водопадите“ во националниот парк Чеснут Риџ, Бафало (западен Њујорк).

We didn’t start the fire, it was always burning since the world’s been turning… . . Or at least that’s what we believed to be true on our quest for the eternal flame. In reality, the earth is leaking natural gas at several points that can be easily lit, but this one burns on with the most determination – even under a waterfall. Either way, a pretty cool site to find! . . The kids thought it was pretty magical, even though the experience was a bit of a nightmare. We asked a guy at the trail head how long it would take. He said he ran it, round trip, in 20 minutes. Well… three hours later… Let’s just say the trail was not handicap accessible, and there are two separate paths – so make sure you follow the same one in and out! It’s pretty rugged at points, so it’s best for slightly older kids. The eternal flame is caused by natural gas pockets which can be lit, but the imagery of a lone flame under torrents of water make this a very special place!! This flame 🔥 is visible nearly year round!
