Modeling is a form of activism for me . I only want to make a difference, open the floor for conversation, and promote a sense of normalcy for visible disabilities in fashion. • • • Short story: Just 3 days before I received the call to interview for @playboy , I broke down in frustration and asked my agent to stop sending me out for bookings, stop sending me sides -for brands that want the “token, black, disabled model”…. That’s trivial – that’s pointless, that’s just not me. If casting agents have a little room to move out of the conventional form, then, I’m beyond humbled and eternally grateful to submit/ audition/ read and potentially cast.
